Activities at home

Indoors

The children have free access to a full range of age appropriate, educational toys and resources, and offer lots of activities - arts, crafts, reading, mark making, dressing up, imaginative play, baking and cooking; all providing a creative and enjoyable learning environment. Resources and activities ensure that your child will play and have fun, learn and develop, whilst meeting both the national framework of the EYFS and the Every Child Matters outcomes.

Outdoors

We have a large, secure garden with different areas of interest to children of all ages for outdoor play. There is a patio, covered with soft play floor tiles containing playhouse, sand & water table, slide and small trampoline etc. There is a second patio for general play and mark making on the outdoor blackboards. Then we have an area of decking with tables and chairs that can be used as a chill out zone if the children need some quiet time; Leading to a grassed lawn with planted side border, with an area which the children can use for digging and planting activities.

In the summer we have a gazebo for shade on the decking area and we use a paddling pool on the patio, which is shaded.
